Apply to join the Action Potential Advising Program (APAP) 🤝
APAP virtually connects neuroscience students (“advisees”) with near-peer and experienced professionals (“advisors”) to provide free educational guidance and mentorship. In doing so, APAP works to bridge gaps in early neuroscience and psychology education through creating an international, centralized space that extends beyond individual schools and colleges. Over the past four years, we have connected approximately 2,000 students and advisors through APAP.
High school students, undergraduate students, and recent college graduates pursuing gap year opportunities can apply to join as advisees. We invite working professionals in neuroscience and psychology-related fields (who hold a Bachelor’s degree or above) to join as advisors; recent college graduates are also welcome to volunteer as advisors. Please note that advisors are not formally required to have a Bachelor’s degree in neuroscience; many of our current and former advisors work in clinical psychology, neuroeconomics, neuroscience and public health, neuroethics, consulting, and beyond, and hold interdisciplinary degrees related to these disciplines.
